CHESAPEAKE SAILING ASSOCIATION
About CSA
Who We Are
The Chesapeake Sailing Association is a Non-Profit Association that
was founded
in 1981.  We are a small, friendly and informal singles
club with about 8
7 paid  members and 144 Meet-up members.  Most of
our members live in the greater Baltimore area and our sailing is
done mostly north of the Bay Bridge
, a couple south.  We are a sailing
club, not a sailing school.  Though sail training is not our focus, you
will  learn some sailing skills on our trips, with our skippers and
seasoned crew who are happy to share their experience
with you.

Though we encourage non-sailors to take lessons at a sailing school
(see our "LINKS" page), CSA is a great way to meet new single
friends, "get your feet wet" and see if you love sailing as much as we
do!
Sailing is the shared interest that brought our members together,
our sails are to enjoy and explore the Chesapeake Bay, and enjoy
each other's company. Though we are not a racing club, some of our
Skippers and members are experienced.  We do enjoy our
occasional party as well!  In the Summer we have a
annual club picnic
among other get-togethers.  In  Winter, we schedule at least 2 big
events;  Our" Wine and Cheese Membership Event" and the "Meet &
Greet" at Riverwatch
Restaurant; and at least  3 Nautical learning
session/pot lucks, teaching  some aspect of sailing or
boat-maintenance
that will be presented by our Educational Chair,
Capt. Hal.  Not to forget our monthly Happy Hours for members get
together held at different restaurants
where some stay for dinner.
Always a plus for singles.
Sailing Arrangements
The non-boat owners in the club are considered available crew.
Through a Yahoo
Members Groups site, skippers arrange with
available crew for day and weekend/overnight sails and
on the
CSA..Meetup site
.
